Down to only 9 unbeatens left….Week 7 upcoming

Week 6 saw 6 unbeaten teams fall leaving only 9 left. Who will fall this week and certainly we will see more upsets. I had a good week overall last week, especially since plays are stronger than leans. The leans went only 3 wins and 4 losses for a yearly total of 13 and 16. The plays were excellent going 6-1-1 and now stand at 19-12-2 for the year. The season is halfway over for some teams that have yet to have a bye and will be this weekend for the other teams that have had their bye. Time flies when you are having fun. Let’s see what week 7 has in store to play strictly for entertainment purposes only.

This will be the same as last week. I will have Week 7 in 2 separate posts. Tonight thru Friday and then sometime Friday, I will have Saturday’s games up. There are no ranked teams playing before Saturday. Tonight we have 2 CUSA games. Delaware favored by -1 1/2 at Middle Tennessee State. I have zero stats or trends on this game. If you play it, good luck.  The other game has FIU traveling to Jax State. The home standing Gamecocks are favored by -3 points. Jax State is 17-5 against the spread at home including 2 and 0 this year. They are 13-2 straight up and 12-3 against the spread in conference home games. They are also 13-6 as a single digit conference favorite including 1-1 this year. FIU is 4-0 against the spread so far this year. Since I will watch this game, I will use the stats and trends and play Jax State -3.

There are 2 more CUSA games tomorrow night. Kennesaw State is favored -3 on the road at Missouri State; Western Kentucky is a 1 1/2 point favorite at Sam Houston State. I have nothing on any of these teams, not one single bit of information to share. I hate to have a college football game on and me not watch it, but I am not playing either game. I suggest you don’t either.

Thursday night’s games feature an All American Conference game between East Carolina favored by -4 points going to UAB. The Pirates have won the last 7 straight up and are 5-2 against the spread. The Blazers are 3 and 6 as conference home dogs. I will take East Carolina and lay the 4 points. The next game is a Sunbelt Conference Game between Georgia Southern favored -4 traveling to Old Dominion. I am not playing this game, but I do have 1 small bit of information to share. Old Dominion is 2 and 0 straight up and against the spread in this series.  The last game Thursday night is a PAC 12 contest between Colorado State going to Texas State. The home team is favored by -14 1/2 points. I have nothing on this game.

Friday Night’s Games have an American Conference Game, a Big Conference Game, and a Sunbelt Conference Game. The Sunbelt game has App State visiting Coastal Carolina as a 1 point favorite. The dog in this series is 4 and 0 straight up and against the spread. The fact that Appalachian is favored on the road has me not playing this game. If you do, take the home team for whatever you think it is worth. The American Conference Game has Memphis traveling to New Orleans to face Tulane. The Tigers are favored by -7 1/2 points. The visitor is 3-0 straight up and against the spread in this series. Tulane is a strong 18-3 straight up at home, but only 10-11 against the spread. Conflicting stats but I will give a lean to Tulane + 7 1/2 points. The Big Conference has Washington coming off 3 straight losses going to Purdue where the home standing Boilermakers have won 2 straight and are favored by -3 points.  The Huskies are only 1-9 against the spread before a bye and 9-17 against the spread as a road dog including 1 and 0 this year. Purdue is only 1-7 against the spread before a bye and a miserable 1 and 14 against the spread as a conference home favorite. That is really conflicting trends and stats. If you decide to play this game, good luck. I know who I lean toward, but I can only advise you to pass as well.

That is 10 games before Saturday and not a lot of information to use. Just a quick review. I am playing Jax State -3; East Carolina -4; and a lean on Tulane +7 1/2. Good luck to all and check back on this blog sometime Friday for what promises another great week of good games
